I am 47 and my skin is changing drastically. I decided to do some research and look for natural items that would benefit me and also my family. One item I recently started using is Argan Oil and was amazed by all the incredible things I learned about this oil.
Argon oil is quickly gaining popularity, which is no surprise since it is full of Vitamins A and C as well as anti-oxidants and Omega-6 fatty acids. This nutrient rich oil can do wonders for your skin and hair, which is why many health and beauty companies are now finding ways to work it into their products. You can enjoy the power of pure argon oil in your own home, and you will find that it can really give your health and beauty routine a boost! Here are 7 uses for argon oil that you can try. It just may be your new favorite oil! I know it is mine.
1. Make your own skin scrub.
Make a skin soothing bath scrub when you mix two tablespoons of argon oil with 1/3 cup of brown sugar. Mix until a rough paste forms. To use, just scrub onto the skin and rinse clean. Your skin will be moisturized, nourished, and even toned. I love doing this once a week.
2. Soothe razor burns.
If you suffer from razor burns after shaving, argon oil can help. It can moisturize the area and even help with inflammation. Just warm a few drops in your palms and apply it to the area of concern. You can use it immediately after shaving, when bumps occur, or even prior as a prevention.
3. Soothe skin while you sleep.
Warm a few drops of argon oil in your hands and apply to your face prior to bedtime. While you sleep it will nourish and moisturize, as well as soften fine lines and wrinkles. You will wake up looking amazing. If you wish, you can even add a few drops to your daily moisturizer. This makes my skin feel very soft in the morning.
4. Nourish your nails.
Argon oil works as nourishing nails as well as softening cuticles. Add a few drops to the nail bed (for your hands or feet) and massage in. Using argon oil can really give your DIY manicures and pedicures a boost and help your nails grow strong and healthy.
5. Deep condition dry hair.
Add a few drops of argon oil to your daily conditioner to help deep condition it. You can even comb a few drops of argon oil through your hair and let it rest on any exceptionally dry areas such as the ends. There is no need to rinse. Doing this step really helped manage my hair during the brutal winter.
6. Condition your lips.
A drop of argon oil applied to the lips can help with chapped and dry skin. Your lips will not only look and feel amazing but you might find that make up goes on more smoothly and lipstick even lasts longer. You can even make a lip scrub using a teaspoon of brown sugar and a few drops of argon oil. Tastes yummy 🙂
7. Soothe dry and cracked skin.
Dry heels, elbows, and feet are no match for argon oil. Add argon oil to your body moisturizers or body wash for a deep moisturizing effect. You can even apply directly to the area of concern. Don’t forget those dry knuckles and knees too!
If you haven’t tried argon oil yet, now is the time! Grab a bottle and see how beneficial it can be. I love using it and I am sure you will see the benefits as well.
NOTE – These treatments work for me. As with any oils and products, please be careful and stop using if you get any signs of irritation or reaction to the oil.
Have you ever tried Argan Oil?
