Going to Key West has been near the top of my bucket list for a long time. When I found out I was going to Key West, I created a bucket list especially for that trip! One of the items on my list was to witness the stunning sunsets. I wrote the following on my list:
Witness the legendary sunsets at Mallory Square. Watching the glowing pink, orange and red sun sink into the Gulf of Mexico horizon sounds like a dream. The Key West Sunset Celebration takes place every night.
I am thrilled that I was able to experience a Key West sunset. It truly is an unbelievable site. Mallory Square is the perfect place to watch the sunset. There are vendors selling souvenirs, great food and a lot of cute gift shops. There are also street performers singing and even a man who swallows a sword. I must say….that was interesting to watch.
Here are some photos I took. The quality is not the best for I think they capture the beauty of the sunset.
Have you even been to Key West? Did you go to Mallory Square and watch the sunset?

I love this post! I finally got to Key West a few years ago too and completely fell in love with the area. The whole town has a carribbean- feel and everyone was super friendly, I found. But it was the sunsets that are spectacular. You got some great pics esp with the ship! WOW!
I managed to get a few ships way in the distance but none were close enough while I was there.
